Good morning, beautiful people. Change can be difficult—but it doesn’t have to be stressful, too. All you need is a Yoga Mind, one that’s flexible, resilient, and open.

What is a Yoga Mind? It’s when you use the spiritual tools of Yoga in daily living. It’s practicing your Yoga off the mat.

Here are 6 Yoga Tools that help cultivate positive, easeful change:

1. Satya, or truth: Honor your need to make changes.

2. Sankalpa, or intention: Set your intention for change. Write it down. Tell people about it. Make it real.

3. Maitri, or kindness: Don’t waste time or Prana (energy) beating yourself up about what led to the need for change.

4. Dharana, or focus: Turn your attention instead to the benefits the changes will bring.

5. Sangha, or community: Get support from like-minded people. Studies show that those who have group support experience greater success in achieving goals.

6. Sutra 1.14: “Practice becomes firmly grounded when well attended to for a long time, without break and in all earnestness.” In other words, keep going. Even when you’ve achieved your goals, practice what you did to achieve them regularly.

With these 6 Yoga Tools, plus others you can find on this blog, change can be an easeful shift to your truest and best self.
