The holidays are great, but they should come with some sort of a warning about how not to get crazed by the shopping and prep. Just this morning, a friend of mine was lamenting her lack of joie de vivre to the world, and how her holidays were low on the ho-ho-ho – all because of heavy shopping for gifts, decorations, food, etc.
I have two solutions. One is from a being who looks like a Christmas elf but is, in fact, a Jedi Knight. That would be Yoda. While this quote isn’t from one of the Star Wars movies, I love the way it really sounds like Yoda. Also, I’ll take anything that will get me through the holidays and keep me sane.
Second, I may be able to lessen your gift-getting load: Just leave a comment on this blog before 5 pm EST on Wednesday, 12.12.12, and you’ll be automatically entered in my Cherries in Winter sweepstakes to win a Kindle! Yes, a Kindle, pre-loaded with an e-book of Cherries in Winter. Five runners-up will get a copy of the book in audio, harcover, or softcover form. Sweet!
Or, as Master Yoda might say: Enjoy the holidays you will if the Force you use (and a comment you leave for a Kindle to win)…
xx, S
