#MondayMotivation: Feeling a little needy? Is that leading to greedy behavior? No need to lose your shanti. This week’s #Yoga Tool is Aparigraha, or non-greed–becoming aware of those “I need more!!” feelings that can lead to too much eating, drinking, working, whatever-ing.
The feeling of needing more, more, MORE is usually based in feelings of less. Maybe you feel you don’t have control over a situation, that things aren’t going the way you want them to, on your time. This can trigger over-compensation in other areas–which then just gives you more to worry about.
Aparigraha is the Yoga Tool of non-greed–becoming aware of needy overcompensating. The antidote is gratitude.
Your mantra: “I’m grateful for all that I am.”
The antidote to the needy greedies is gratitude. This week, if you feel neediness leading to greediness, use your Yoga Tool of Aparigraha, non-greed, to recognize the behavior and then address it with this Mantra: “I’m grateful for all that I am.” You’ll be feeling like more of your amazing self in no time.
