suzan.colon .image  221x300 BioSuzan Colón is the author of the memoir Cherries in Winter: My Family’s Recipe for Hope in Hard Times (Random House), the novel Beach Glass (Bell Bridge Books), and eight other books.

Suzan is a former Senior Editor of O, the Oprah Magazine whose personal essays have been featured in three Oprah Magazine best-of anthologies. She has written for Good Housekeeping, Jane, Harper’s Bazaar, Details, Latina, Rolling Stone, and many other publications (see Writing by Suzan Colon). Suzan has appeared on The Today Show, The Early Show, and National Public Radio.

A twice-certified yoga instructor, Suzan is also the founder of Take A Yoga Break™ and the creator of the Take A Yoga Break app (available on iTunes), for which she also did the illustrations.
